Could Maine Get Cannabis Social Clubs?
The Portland Press Herald reports that Maine lawmakers are pondering whether to bring back the original verbiage from original recreation cannabis law that was passed in 2016, where recreational users would be allowed to consume cannabis in licensed social settings.
Maine would have been the first state to pass such laws, but the wording was removed in 2017, as well as 2018.
a legislature committee held its first hearing regarding these social clubs before voting 9-2 to restore the home grow limits in the 2016 referendum question.
